Bjørn Wiinblad (1918 – 2006) was a was a Danish painter and designer. He started designing for the Rosenthal Group in 1971 and his work can be seen in many museums all over the world. The Victoria and Albert Museum or the Museum of Modern Art in New York display some of his works. His work reminds quite often of fairy tales, it includes whimsical round-faced people, animals and splashes of vibrant colour, quite often adorned with gold. Rosenthal produces some of the finest German porcelain for over 120 years.
