Georg V Commemorative Celery Vase, pressed glass
George V Commemorative Celery Vase
Celery was once considered a very posh and expensive vegetable. The well-off Victorians and Georgians were not shy to display their wealth and celery vases would have a prime spot on the table to be admired by anyone. The earlier examples were hand blown and the later ones mass-produced.
Please note this jar has been well used and is cloudy inside where the water stood. No chips though.
