Pyrex & co

Pyrex is hot! Just when our mums and grandmothers decided to get rid of all their Pyrex it has become increasingly desirable and sought after once more.

J. A. Joblings were the licence holder for Corning Ware, Pyrex glass in England, Sunderland. Many pieces have the 3 letters JAJ as a back-stamp, the more modern ones are marked Pyrex and Made in England. Sadly the Sunderland factory closed for good in 2007.

Scarce pieces can easily fetch prices well over £100 in auctions. The value and thus the price very much depends on the scarcity, the design, if the item is unused or even in it's original cardboard box. Complete sets sell for a higher price than single pieces.
